Karissa

Karissa's features are so soft and beautiful--it was fun to photograph her in grungy "ugly" hard backgrounds.  Her boyfriend, Zach, was there for the 3-location shoot, helping as my light tech!  He makes her laugh too, which made images like this one happen...

Nicole

Nicole, I think we did great considering it was almost dark and you had to hurry to get to your soccer practice!

Raelee

Raelee chose these locations, places she spends alot of time, so her images are all very natural and fun. As an extra bonus for her, she found her new Christmas present jacket at the snowboard shop--not the furry one. Thanks to Eco Lounge and the Capital HS pottery instructor for letting us use these locations!

Kaytlan

Kaytlan wore the rattiest shoes I've ever seen and her favorite pants which were held together by a safety pin and a shoelace--totally cool...I love her style!!!

Kaytlan

This location was perfect for Kaytlan's outdoor shoot but it's getting a little late in the fall for outdoor portraits in a whispy dress (she got it at a thrift store so we could rip it and smear black paint on the bottom)!  We actually had to hide out for awhile playing some boring game called "triangle" that my assistant, Christy seemed to have made up on the fly.  When the rain stopped it was worth the wait!!  Here are two samples...

Collin

The wind was crazy when we did his outdoor volleyball shots so I am so glad we did some in the studio first. These turned out great--he sat on my rusty garbage can...

Allie's Soccer shots

Thanks for rolling with this, Allie! I totally messed up your makeup and hair for the final shots...

Allie

Allie did a great job even though she didn't feel well!

Kandace

We got to use the brand new state of the art kitchen at Renaissance High School where she will be studying in the culinary program.  Thanks, Mr. Hickman for letting us make a small mess with the flour...
I love how rich and ELEGANT this studio photo turned out.  I thought she just needed one of those Cruella DeVille Cigarettes but that would have been inappropriate!!  Also, thanks to Ambrosia for being so fluffy and cute.

Erica

My first attempt to find a friendly farmer willing to let us use his "country" location failed so we found this abandoned barn next to a huge cornfield.  I love the Idaho look...I might get time to post the sunflower and corn/dusty shots later...all of it is beautiful. We didn't encounter any snakes, just a dead chicken.  Erica, thanks for being so easy going and willing to get dirty!

Candice

This dress was PERFECT for the retro look of the location we chose--an older Boise building's foyer and staircase.  It was not the greatest timing though, because apparently today was move in day for some tenants so they kept leaving their stuff in our background!  People who live upstairs were also walking in and out the whole time.  It was fun anyway!

Candice

Her red hair, yellow hat and blue eyes all complimented each other perfectly! This shoot was at a parking garage roof overlooking the city... Sorry, John, I would've put your picture online too, but I'm getting too tired...maybe tomorrow

Alexis 2010 O2 Studio Model Rep

I'm not going to lie...Taylor Swift did this first...but we think Alexis looks better!  Also found a rockin trailer park...

Cole Coba

This image of Cole was taken at a junkyard...he's a pretty chill guy who is relaxed and easy to photograph!

Natalie 2010 Senior

Natalie got alot of attention from all the rafters floating by. Thanks, Auntie, for letting her wash away all your hard work! It looks like it was worth it...

Malarie

Everybody loves a rusty green tractor...

Malarie

We found a new "junky" location; Malarie did GREAT in the midst of gangs of amputee cats roaming around, people watching from their trailer porches and the very possible threat of some dude in a wife beater coming out with a shotgun yelling at us to get off his property...

Stephen

We headed downtown because he likes the nightscape look...but it was still pretty bright so my assistant and I made the poor guy walk around Urban Outfitters with us to kill time...

Stephen

He was still shivering...

Stephen

It was extremely cold for May but he jumped right in. Way to rock it, Stephen!

Kayla

I liked the $5 hat she found...

Kayla

Kayla wanted an old Hollywood look for her backdrop. We also took some shots with some piles of books since she's a big reader.

FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME...because it is

Okay, I'm working towards using this blog on a daily basis, but it's going to take some time.  I want to say I had a great time working in the studio with my new assistant, christy.  You rock, girl!  She probably wishes she hadn't seen me doing the chicken dance to make the baby laugh, but she'll get used to it.
